Seychelles is committed to using blue bonds as a financial instrument to support sustainable marine and fisheries projects, aiding in the transformation of its blue economy. The seminar will focus on sharing the current international status of blue finance and explore innovative blue finance as an emerging narrative for sound marine conservation and sustainable development.
Presenter
Dr. Torsten Thiele, the Founder of Global Ocean Trust and Affiliate Scholar at the IASS is an expert in sustainable blue financing with 20 years of experience in project and infrastructure finance with leading financial institutions. He is an advisor to international bodies on blue finance, ocean governance, and policy, and is also a frequent guest speaker on ocean solutions.
