The present report is the third output from the “Consultancy for the identification of priorities for the expansion of the marine and terrestrial protected area system of the Seychelles” under Component 1, Output 1.1 (Part 2) of the “Strengthening Seychelles’ protected area system through NGO management modalities” project (hereafter referred to simply as the Protected Areas project), is a GEF funded project implemented by the GoS through the Environment Department (ED) and UNDP Project Coordination Unit (PCU). The aim of the present consultancy was to support the GoS to commence the process of identifying priorities for the expansion of the marine and terrestrial protected area system of the Seychelles, determine marine and terrestrial protected area targets and to map priority areas.
