EVENT : Workshop on the Preparation of the Seychelles Tuna Industry Development Plan

Purpose: This workshop will focus on the Tuna industry development plan  and will focus on:

• Weaknesses and opportunities on the Seychelles tuna fishery and industry and strategies for addressing threats and enhancing opportunities.
• Presentation and discussion of results on Bio-economic modelling for selected Seychelles tuna fisheries (currently underway) and corresponding measures for National Quota Management System (NQMS).
• The presentation of options for the tuna fishery and industry development pathways and stakeholders prioritisation of development pathways.
• Stakeholders recommendations on strategies for implementation of prioritised development pathways
